How to activate Scatto Pro

Open Scatto, go to Settings → Scatto Pro, and choose between the annual subscription (with a 7-day free trial), the monthly subscription, or the lifetime license. The purchase is handled by Apple through your Apple ID: once complete, every Pro feature unlocks immediately, no app restart needed.

Restoring purchases

If you've already purchased Scatto Pro on this or another device with the same Apple ID, go to Settings → Scatto Pro → Restore Purchases. Restoring is free and never creates a new charge.

System requirements

Scatto requires iOS 18 or later and an iPhone with a rear camera capable of RAW capture (supported models are listed on the App Store product page). Some features, such as the number of film looks or lens readouts, may vary by model.

Family Sharing and multiple devices

If the subscription was purchased with Family Sharing enabled, Scatto Pro is available on every device in the family group. The lifetime license instead follows the Apple ID it was purchased with, under Apple's standard rules.

Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple: to request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and select the relevant purchase. The developer has no direct access to payment systems and cannot process refunds manually.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an internet connection to use Scatto?

No. You can shoot, apply film looks and use Quick Edit even offline: the only moment a connection is needed is the initial verification of a Pro purchase through the App Store.

What's the difference between HEIC and RAW in Scatto?

HEIC is the compressed format available even in the free version, ready to share. RAW (Just Light) is an uncompressed Bayer file built for people who want maximum control in post-production, and it's a Pro feature.

Can I open Scatto's RAW files in Lightroom or other apps?

Yes: Just Light saves Bayer RAW files in standard DNG format, readable by Lightroom, Photos and any app that supports Adobe's DNG format.

Does Quick Edit modify the original file?

No, it's non-destructive: edits are saved as separate instructions. You can return to the original values at any time, even much later.

What happens to my photos if I uninstall the app?

Photos saved to your iOS library stay there: uninstalling Scatto doesn't delete them. Only the data stored in the app's own space is removed, such as Quick Edit changes not yet saved back to your library.

Does focus peaking work in automatic mode too?

Focus peaking is designed to support manual focus and is a Pro feature; in automatic mode, focus is handled by the system.

How do I contact the developer about a bug?

Send an email describing the issue, your iPhone model and iOS version: it helps enormously in reproducing and fixing the bug quickly.

Is there an iPad or Mac version of Scatto?

Right now Scatto is built exclusively for iPhone, to make the most of the phone's lens and sensors.

Can I request a new feature?

Yes: every email request is read individually. Not all of them make it onto the roadmap, but each one helps understand what people actually need from Scatto.
